1997 – 2005: Levine & Associates

 

Responsibilities were primarily in the areas of Nursing Home/ALF litigation and Personal Injury. I organized and processed new cases; conducted client follow-up and heavy document management. I propounded and responded to discovery and provided analysis and summary of same. I performed in-depth medical research and written summaries of facility records and medical charts focusing on any violations of Florida Statutes Chapter 400 and Florida Administrative Code 58A-5. I drafted all demand letters and mediation summaries, prepared mediation notebooks, assisted at mediation and was in charge of trial preparation.

 

1994 – 1997: ASAP Paralegal Services

 

Sole-Proprietorship offering feelance paralegal and secretarial services. I administered the handling of personal injury files including client interview and file set up, communication with insurance companies; set-up of PIP claims, collect updated payment summaries and confirmation of payments, communication with clients and medical providers, collection of medical records/bills and out-of-pocket expenses, request final medical reports, impairment ratings and estimate of future surgical procedures and costs when necessary, draft demand letters and negotiate medical bill reductions. I also provided general assistance as requested including tape transcription, schedule hearings and depositions, etc., in various practice areas.

Responsibilities in this General Practice included the organization and processing of new cases; propounding discovery and responsive pleadings, client follow-up, heavy document management, medical record summaries and demand letters; assistance with trial preparations, etc.
